A good fitting bra, a black blazer and a white dress shirt.

What’s a great fashion tip that you can share with The Fashion Records readers what would it be?

Spanx! Anybody can wear it. Skinny, Plus size, average size! It’s for everyone. It just smoothes out everything.

What’s the most important lesson that life has taught you?

Hard work never killed anyone. (My dad always told me that) and don’t sweat the small stuff it’s just not worth it.

What would you say is your signature style?

Very girl meets boy. I’m a reformed tomboy. I still shop in the men’s department. I also always have a hair piece. So it could be a scarf or a hat. It’s my security blanket!

Is there anyone who you admire or draw your style influences from?

As much as I would like to say I’m original I love Gillian Zinser’s style. It’s very care free. It looks like she just woke up perfect. Also, Nigerian women, especially my mother’s generation, they are so classy and there is something regal about them.

What is your most prized fashion item?

My grandmother’s engagement ring: I never wear it because I’m so scared I’ll lose it. Maybe one these days I’ll have to wear it.
